Pieta, small Town Central Region of Malta

In the shadow of Valletta’s majestic bastions lies Pietà. The coastal village which curves around Marsamuscetto harbour may look unassuming but nestled within its streets lie reminders of a rich and eclectic past. Home to historic St Luke’s Hospital and Ta-Braxia cemetery, the village preserves tales of a thriving military history and serves as the final resting place for veterans of both the first and second world wars. Pietà also boasts a royal connection and was once home to Queen Elizabeth during her years of residency in Malta.
