Marsaxlokk is a picturesque fishing port and village in the south-eastern region of Malta. The location of Malta’s largest and oldest fishing harbour, Marsaxlokk remains famous for all things seafood! In fact, some of the best fish restaurants in Malta can be found here so it’s the perfect place to sample the local catch. An open-air market operates daily, but it is on Sunday’s that Marsaxlokk comes to life. The Sunday fish market is supplied directly from the fishermen’s morning catch.  Here a plethora of sights, sounds and smells combine under the canopied marketplace

The Gozo Channel Ferry is the main link from Malta to its sister island, Gozo. As there is no airport on Gozo the ferry offers an important link between the two islands. With a daily average of 27 round trips, this sea transport service is a safe and reliable way for passengers and vehicles to travel between Malta and Gozo throughout the year. Created in 1979, the Gozo Channel Company has since developed and maintained an efficient and economic service for local and foreign customers. The first operating ferry service between the two islands was recorded in 1241, with a regular service commencing in 1885.
